Here’s why Real Men don’t go to prostitutes

Title of this post looks absurd? Or topic itself is unusual to mention in open forum like this?

But it’s very much important to get the public attention towards issues that are bothering society since long like the one am going tell now. Prostitute i mean here, is a women who’s been using as sex selling toy either in one or the other form & is been called by names call girl, escort, Devdasi, bar girl, strip girl, etc.,

Let me tell you a story. A 21 year old girl was promised for a job in Delhi by a clerk who works in one of the government office in Bangalore. He in turn connected her to a man called Venkatesh. This innocent girl from nearby district of Bangalore was fueled by a flashy life of working in Nation’s capital, Delhi. This girl who’s from marginally poor background was impressed to take up a job. This girl  was contacted by a lady Ranjitha through Venkatesh who flew down from Delhi to take this girl with her back in flight. Immediately after reaching Delhi she was taken to a house which she later realized that it’s a brothel. She was imprisoned there, snatched off her mobile only to realize for what job she was bought there for.

Next, what would happen to her? A girl dreaming of earning well and supporting her family would be forced to get addicted to alcohol, drugs & smoking for next few days which would make their job easier to get her hunted by visiting sex starved hungry men. Luckily what happened was some how she was able to call her mother and informed her of about the situation. Mother went to police who traced the mobile location from which she had called, with the help of Delhi police raided brothel & saved girl from clutches of demons.

What would have happened otherwise? She would be forced to get addicted drugs, alcohol. Some sex starved men would make futile attempt to have sex with her, rape her for initial days. Eventually day by day, she would loose the energy, courage to oppose, resists everyday attempts of sex starved ruthless men, finally she would relent being helpless and get used to that dark life. She would feel ashamed of herself because no fault of hers, she would never like to visit home again and spend rest of her life there being helpless.

This women trafficking works in the way as that of any other illegal trades. As long as there is a demand, there will be a supply. Note that consumers of this demand are very men around you who would be looking to vent their sexual drive. If there wasn’t any demand, there wouldn’t be any women trafficking to meet this demand. Likewise this girl wouldn’t be trafficked to brothel and remained there for rest of her life.

Behind every smiley, make-up face of such women who spend life in darkest light of day, there is a other side of teary, unlivable life of a women who missed a decent, beautiful, happy life of being a happy sister/daughter/wife/mother like the one you have in your life.

Womanhood never pardon men for creating the profession of prostitution and making the women a toys of selling sex.

One should realize, if this demand for women in prostitution ever grows and this trafficking girl child/women becomes so rampant; day is not too far to witness a cinematic situation of one’s own daughter/sister/mother being kidnapped and find there in brothel.

Some socially concerned would argue that what should sex starved men do to vent their sex drive and otherwise would result in rapes? But you can’t take someone of their beautiful life away and force them to selling sex and say all sex starved men are happier & society is balanced now.

Right to live as per their own wish is fundamental right & you can’t deny anyone of their life.

Many girls especially those who are in their teenage are being kidnapped, trafficked to such heinous crimes. Every now and then such incidents of missing teenage girls are being reported in social media asking for help. Eradication of such menace cannot be stopped alone by governing authorities but by involvement of sensible citizens.

A lot of people are trying to get rid society of this menace, here is one such warrior Sunitha krishan who her self was a victim once helped lot of girls childs, women save lives and re dream their life.

Here is a link her NGO and efforts she is putting towards to end the menace of women & child trafficking.

Humble story of a ‘PADMAN’

Now am going to tell a story of a person who tried to solve problem of women of his life ended up solving issue being faced by millions of women around the globe.

He’s not either a BATMAN nor a SUPERMAN. In fact he is a ‘PADMAN’. A Bollywood movie made on real life character of person by name Arunchalam Muruganantham. He has become a hero of millions of women whom he helped them solve, make their life easier of 4 days of monthly period menstrual cycle.

Arunachalam has been named as one of the top 100 influential people on health by TIME’s magazine, named along with Narendra Modi, Bill Gates, etc. But what made him become so influential?

All he did is tried to solve the problem that his newly married wife was facing!! He has innovated a low cost machine that can manufacture a sanitary pad in a very affordable cost. This not only helps women to avail the economically viable sanitary pad in a developing countries like India, but also aimed at creating a jobs among rural women.

As he himself admits he wanted to solve the problem of love of his life but ended up solving a bigger issue.

A newly married Arunachalam on certain day notices his wife using a rag cloth for menstrual purpose instead of sanitary pad. Upon inquiring his wife, he realized commercially sanitary pad pads available in Medical, Drug stores aren’t economically viable for a people from economically low strata of a society. So he challenged himself why not make one. LOL!!

Tell me how many men you know in your life would have this courage to take on this problem?

Yes, he is THE MAN who created this sanitary pad, went on wear this for 14 days to test this when couldn’t find any volunteers to test these PADS created by him.

An ordinary workshop welder, 9th grade drop out with a humble background of parents working as hand loom weavers went on to innovate a sanitary pad which is at par in quality for women in need.

Being a son of hand loom weavers from Coimbatore, Tamilnadu he had very good knowledge of Cotton, cloths.

At first he sought help of his sisters, wife to test and get the feedback of his product. It didn’t last long, since they started refuse his product after initial attempts of failure. As he needed volunteers, he roped in medical college girls to whom he distributed the his products free but on a condition that he needs them back after use for TESTING!

At some point in the course of this innovation, his wife suspected him of having affair with ladies sent him a divorce notice. His mother on seeing him testing used sanitary pads cried & left him. His village started talking about this PADMAN has become a vampire who crave for women’s blood. Even he was chased out of the village, But he never quit.

He went on to present his work in an event at IIT Delhi where he was recognized and was given award. Also he got a seed fund to start his venture. He started his venture “JAYASHREE INDUSTRIES”.

As of now, as himself states only 5% of women use sanitary pads in india which excludes mostly rural women, he hopes to radically change this ratio and bring happy comfortable, hygiene to PINK DAYS of women and thereby PINK REVOLUTION.

Now his company has presence in over 10 countries. His newly innovated sanitary pad making machine has found customers in as far as SYRIA, Africa. It roughly costs around $1000(Rs65000) where as previoulsy available machine was costing $550,000(Rs3.6Cr).

His innovation not only gives a affordable sanitary pad at par in quality with commercially available ones, but also it created an employment to thousands of rural women who by using his machine can manufacture and sell sanitary pads.

His advice to wanna be entrepreneurs in his own words, “Don’t go in search of opportunities for innovation, Address a problem, be a solution provider, You will become a innovator”. More specifically try to solve the problem facing by your wife!!

Having been offered by bigger corporate entities for commercialization of his innovation for profits, he refused the offers and stuck to solve this social cause to be social entrepreneur.

Experiencing Failure

Have you got a taste of failure?   If no, you haven’t experienced life at all.

Failure is a way to explore life to the fullest. This birth has given you an opportunity to experience this beautiful life, you are missing all this because of fear of failure. You are missing life sitting with a protection of 4 walls thinking you have protected yourself from odds of life,  in fact you have self imprisoned fearing outer world depriving of beautiful life out there.

Existence of human life on earth evolved with many many attempts of failures. Once living caves this human learnt to construct sky crappers with many attempts of failure. You would be surprised to know Thomas Edison failed 1,000 times to invent electric bulb.

It’s OK to fail,  it’s human. There is proverb in my mother tongue, “one who walk may stumble and fall down, not the one who is sitting”

India had to struggle over century spanning 3 generations to get freedom. Once a symbol of failure can become epitome of success for e.g Marvan Attapattu who took 6 years to score his first run in international cricket went on to become one of the greatest cricketers. All wonders in this human life have been created with many attempts of failures.

You might be busy with your jam packed life with no chance of trying something new which your heart is wanting to do. You are held back from trying because of fear of failure,  fear of financial loss, or fear of anything thus stopping you from exploring your new level of successful life.

It’s OK to fail because you won’t regret on your death bed!!

Failure, it’s fear shouldn’t deter you from taking a chance to experience success. The reason you should get rid fear of failure is not because you can make money, not because you gain social reputation,  not because you can get cozy materialistic lifestyle; but because it stops you from having joy of doing,  bcoz it stops you from having a blissful life,  bcoz it deprives you of exuberant life.

After all what would happen if you fail,  does losing social reputation cost you life?  You should live for self not for society. Does failing make you poor?  Don’t worry, even billionaires will also die. Failing does make you depressed,  frustrated? Then it’s the time to do which you haven’t experienced in life for e.g. grazing cows, sweating it out in farms, wondering over places, playing with kids. Treat failure as an opportunity to experience life in a whole new dimension.

Next time when failure scares you away from doing what your heart wanting to do for long,  think failure as an initial medium to be crossed to know the things better in life.

If you are good, but stupid…

What would happen if you are good, but stupid? All unfortunate things would happen to you in the world; whether going bankrupt, break up in relationship, loosing health, etc..

God, the creator isn’t sitting there to guard all the good people. With no other option need to believe that God ( Super Natural Power, if at all there) created us. But he never own the job of maintaining them. It doesn’t mean that you don’t need to be good, kind enough person but you also need to be smart & clever to save yourself from evils, misfortunes in the life, society.

Don’t be superficial, be realistic to understand that everything works based on a system i.e. based on decisions, actions taken to implement that. There is a system that comprises dynamics to successfully achieve what you aspire for. For e.g to have good health you need to give a attention to what you eat, how much you eat, whether you do physical work over the years.

Just being good doesn’t make you fall in line of fortunes. For e.g. if you are into business; being good, generous may not make your business profitable. You need to make changes, take decisions and implement the way that makes your business turn wealthy.

What’s the conclusion?
You don’t get a good life just because you are good, but you need to have little common sense to understand, realize what good decisions you must take.

Next time when you feel you are good person, but all bad things happening to you; Think, introspect yourself that HOW STUPID YOU ARE TO LET ALL THAT HAPPEN TO YOU.

What’s stopping you??

Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin

I wanted to read autobiography of Benjamin Franklin ever since I read blog by Robin Sharma wherein he mentioned reading that book as one of the tips to have a happy life. Picked this book when I visited library recently.

For those who don’t know who Benjamin Franklin is, if you would have watched Oscar winning movie “Slum dog Millionaire”, protagonist of that film when participated in “who wants to be millionaire” contest, was asked one question ‘what is the name of the person on $100 currency note’? That’s Benjamin Franklin. He is an American statesman; one of the founding fathers of US.

His autobiography is not like everyone else’s tale of life. As he himself mentions he had written that for posterity of younger generation. This book will have a profound impact on those who read it and it may change their lives.

Though Franklin didn’t have a formal schooling, his passion for reading made him such a statesman. He himself admits he’s an avid reader. You can see his effort to own/read books in every chapter of this book. Franklin adopted the knowledge he gained from the books, he put them into practice, it made him multitalented person.

Franklin at the age of 20 designed, categorized the principles he want to follow in life into 13 virtues. He kept track daily and followed until they become habituated. Probably such practices made him such a successful person.

The part of the book which I liked best is letter written to a friend by Franklin titled ‘The Whistle’ included in appendix. In this he has told about how to value the things in life by telling about the whistle which he bought when he was seven years old. When he was enjoying playing with whistle, his siblings tell him he didn’t value that whistle properly and he paid extra bucks for that. After realizing what else he could have done with that extra bucks he paid, he cried and lost the pleasure of playing with that whistle. This is one more practice he adopted throughout his life how to value the things, whether it’s while partnering a business, in his personal life,,,

The chapters are written in accordance with his experience from his younger age as he grows older. If you are younger Part1 of biography interests you to read. Part 2 will be of same interest when you grow older and venture into business, or into professional life.

There are many more things that you come across that one can learn from his autobiography and adopt in your life too. I recommend to study (not just read) this book.
